Welcome to Local Home Bakery. Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using our website (localhomebakery.com) or booking our custom baking services. By submitting an inquiry form, booking an order, or opting into our mobile messaging program, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Custom Order Inquiries & Booking Confirmation

  • No Automatic Bookings: Submitting a Custom Inquiry form or a Party Package request does not guarantee an open slot on our baking calendar.

  • Retainer & Payments: Full payment is required upon signing the contract to hold and confirm your event date. No date is held without full payment. 

2. Changes and Modifications

  • All final choices for cake sizes, flavors, and designs must be locked in at least fourteen (14) days before the event.

  • Last-minute requests will be accommodated if possible, but changes made after this deadline may incur a rush fee or will not be able to be fulfilled based on ingredient availability.

3. Cancellation & Refund Policy

  • Cancellations 14+ Days Prior: If your event is canceled more than 14 days before the event date, 50% of the payment will be refunded.

  • Cancellations Within 14 Days: Cancellations made within 14 days of the event are strictly non-refundable, as custom ingredients, specialty tools, and prep work will have already been invested.

4. Pickup and Delivery Liability

  • For Deliveries: Local Home Bakery is responsible for the safe transport and setup of the cake/treats. Once setup is complete and signed off by the venue or client, the bakery is no longer liable for any damage caused by weather, guests, or venue staff.

  • For Pickups: All local pickups are in Webster, MA. The client is responsible for providing a flat, air-conditioned space in their vehicle for transport (the floorboards or a flat trunk space is best—never a car seat or someone's lap). Once the order is picked up, the bakery is not responsible for any damage sustained during transit or setup.

5. Quality, Satisfaction, & Bakery Liability

  • Quality & Satisfaction: We take immense pride in our work. If you are unsatisfied with the quality or appearance of your order, please notify us immediately. Reimbursements are not issued for personal taste preferences or damages occurring after pickup/delivery.

  • Bakery Liability: In the rare event that the bakery is unable to fulfill your order due to an emergency or critical error on our part, our liability is limited strictly to a full refund of all money paid.

6. Mobile Messaging Terms

Text the word JOIN to 774-203-4599 to opt in to receive text messages from Local Home Bakery regarding your inquiry, appointment, or account. Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time or HELP for assistance. Your mobile number will not be shared with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes.   • Consent is Optional: Opting into our text message program is entirely voluntary and is not a condition of purchasing any goods or party packages.

  • Message and Data Rates: Standard message and data rates applied by your wireless carrier may apply to any sent or received text messages. Message frequency varies based on your active orders.

  • How to Opt-Out: You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Simply text STOP in reply to any mobile message you receive from us. We will send a final text confirming your unsubscription.

  • Customer Assistance: If you experience any issues or need help with our messaging system, reply to any text with the keyword HELP, or email us directly at localhome@localhomebakery.com.

  • Carrier Disclaimer: Mobile networks and carriers are not liable for delayed, dropped, or undelivered messages.

7. Allergen & Dietary Disclaimer

  • Unless explicitly discussed and agreed upon in writing, products may contain or come into contact with milk, wheat, nuts, soy, and other allergens.

  • We cannot guarantee 100% cross-contamination-free items for individuals with severe Celiac disease.

8. Photo Rights

  • The bakery reserves the right to take and use photos of your cake and treats for advertising, website display, and social media purposes.
